Chai Spiced Pecan Butter

I'm not shy about my love for making homemade nut butter and nut milks. Using ingredients that I bought in bulk without any packaging and creating something that I used to buy every single week in packaging with those ingredients is VERY satisfying. And, I get to choose every single ingredient that goes into my recipes! (Check out my Guide to Buying In Bulk here).

I'm obsessed with anything chai flavored, but, spoiler alert: most chai drinks are LOADED with added sugar. I love having treats, but because I crave chai daily, I needed a lower sugar alternative. To make this chai nut butter, I used pecans and dates for that natural sweetness. Pecan butter is an indulgent, delicious nut butter that we can't seem to eat enough of in our house. The combination of sweet and spicy makes for the perfect nut butter. You MUST try this vegan, gluten free, dairy free, added sugar free, waste free yet totally delicious recipe! It's perfect spread on toast, with coconut yogurt, in oatmeal, and by the spoonful. You can also dip dark chocolate squares right into it.

Of course, my favorite kitchen appliance- the NutraMilk- enabled this recipe to come together. The NutraMilk has been a game changer for me and helps me prep staples in my diet (nut butters & nut milks) with ease! I control what goes into my nut butters and nut milks and where (and how) I source my ingredients. I couldn't recommend it more; it's a staple of my healthy, low waste life.
