Hot Chocolate Chai
I love the flavor of chai. The warming spices have a calming effect and support great digestion and liver detoxification. And, combining the chai spices with raw cacao takes it to another level. I love using dates or date syrup to sweeten drinks. It’s a luxurious sweetener and provides potassium, b vitamins, and fiber (to name a few of the nutrients). Because of the nutritional profile, dates also support healthy digestion. I love to use Simply Organic spices, which are the highest quality and sustainably sourced. Hot Chocolate Chai (serves 1)
- 1/4 cup canned coconut milk (BPA free lining)
- 3/4 water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2/ tsp cardamom
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp CCC (cloves, cinnamon, cardamom)
- 1 tsp date syrup
- 1 tsp raw cacao
- Add all ingredients into a small sauce pan and whisk to combine.
- Once combined and almost at a bowl, pour into your favorite mug and enjoy!
